Del Campo RS Annual Soup-N-Swap

This is a big event!

You’re invited to the Del Campo Relief Society Annual Soup-N-Swap
So, repeat after me: Reduce Recycle Reuse

When: Tuesday, September 21, 2010 from 6:30p – 830p
Where:
San Juan Bldg. Cultural Hall
 Soup: Bring a pot of soup to share … rolls & butter & drinks provided!
 Childcare available. Please contact Debbie Hill @ ddk2110@att.net or call 966-4448

Let’s Reduce our carbon footprint: OK, less rubbish good, landfill sites bad.
{We are challenging everyone to bring your own soup bowl and spoon! This will reduce our plastic & paper products—there really shouldn’t be much left to throw away at the end of the evening! © (cups & napkins will be provided; as well as bowls & spoons for those who forget their own).

Let’s Recycle & Save $$: Why buy new? Bring your quality used items:
{ Kitchenware clothing (women, men, children) holiday items toys shoes purses books music electronics movies craft supplies sewing office supplies linens tools games décor and more! At the end of the evening all items left on tables will be donated to Deseret Industries.

Let’s Reuse & Reclaim is to use an item more than once. This includes conventional reuse where the item is used again for the same function and new-life reuse where it is used for a new function.

{Baby Wipe Containers Use to store and organize just about anything. Arts and crafts supplies, sewing thread and needles, office supplies, pencils, pens, etc.

{Compact Discs Decorate with paper, ribbon, paint, etc. to make Christmas tree ornaments or door hangers. Use as coasters.

{Fabric Softener Sheets Use as stuffing for stuffed animals and decorative pillows. Reuse in your sock or underwear drawer to keep your clothes smelling fresh. Tear the sheets in half before using in the dryer to reduce the number of sheets you use. Wrap around a few clothes hangers in the closet to keep your clothes smelling fresh. Use to dust your house. Place inside shoes at night to keep them smelling fresh.

{
Shower Curtain Use as a tarp for grills, wood, etc. Cover your table with the curtain while the kids are painting or playing with play-dough to make for easy clean-up. Cut and make into a curtain for the bathroom window. Line the trunk of your car with it when transporting dirty items. Use to cover your outdoor plants when the weather drops to freezing. Make sure you put stakes in the ground to prevent the curtain from crushing your plants. Use
