Camp Nauvoo 2009 Pictures

The Deaf Branch had their annual Camp Nauvoo trip over the summer. It was on September 18th for Luau dinner and then the 19th after a sleep over. There were of about 50 give or take. Thanks to the Stake for allowing us to use the camp site. It is a beautiful place to be. Please give thanks to the branch activity committees for their hard work in the kitchen for prepping and cooking food for everyone.

The Passing of Sister Debbie Klapheck

Deborah Klapheck is survived by her loving husband, Arnold Klapheck and her children Aaron (married to Sarah Lynne), David, and Jared (married to Shani), as well as her Mother-in-law, Patricia Miljarak. She is also missed by her granddaughters, Megan Elisabeth (daughter of Aaron) and Kali (daughter of Jared). She was a native of Sacramento, California.

Deborah will be greatly missed by her family. It was so easy to make her laugh and smile. In us, her love lives on.

In Memory of David Woodhouse

In Memoriam of David Woodhouse: We will miss our dear friend David Woodhouse, who passed away October 4, 2009. Borther Woodhouse served a mission to the Deaf in Southern California from 1970 to 1972 and was recently serving on the high council of the Provo South Lake.

Trunk or Treat/Chili Cook-off!!

Feeling like getting spooky this October? This is the one for you! We will be having a blastful of treats, decorations and competition. Even socializing with monsters, aliens and other strange creatures. It will be on October 30, Friday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Dress up if you like, but please don't bring mask. You are welcome to face paint though. There will be a chili competition and you are welcome to compete with others. In order to participate in the competition, you will need to sign on the sign up sheet at church or send Sister B. Vicars an email at belindagvicars@aol.com. Hope you'll come and let us spook you there!
